Experiential Trip with the Uganda Carnivore Program

The Uganda Carnivore Program bases its core activities in the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and works in close collaboration with the Uganda Wildlife Authority to monitor, research and conserve the large predators in the area. Senior research assistant James Kalyewa is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of the park’s predators. James offers his expertise to the Uganda Wildlife Authority’s Experiential Tourism initiative in Queen Elizabeth National Park whereby James goes out with tourists into the park to track the predators. This trip is a unique experience that we highly recommend. It’s an opportunity to learn a lot about lions from someone that works with them daily and has dedicated his life to aid in their conservation and survival. Follow the radio signals from collared lions off the beaten tracks of the park and learn about the individual lions while viewing them just metres from the vehicle. This is an experience not to be missed!

The experiential trip departs Little Elephant Camp at 6:35 am and returns to camp sometime between 11 am and midday.  Contact us for a quotation for the lion experiential trip.
